What is a Twilight Wedding?
A Twilight Wedding is an evening ceremony that offers couples a romantic and atmospheric setting under the beauty of the night sky. These weddings typically start later in the day and extend into the evening, allowing for unique celebrations highlighted by distinctive lighting, sunset backdrops, and a cosy, intimate ambiance. Twilight Weddings are ideal for those after an untraditional wedding experience that captures the magic of dusk and the charm of celebrating under the stars.
What time is a Twilight Wedding?
Twilight Weddings generally commence in the evening, with ceremonies typically starting at around 6pm followed by celebrations until midnight. This schedule allows for the special ambiance of dusk, creating a unique and romantic setting for the event.
What is included in the Twilight Wedding Package?
The Twilight Wedding Package at The Lawrence Hotel incudes venue hire from the evening until midnight, inclusive of an overnight stay in the luxurious Aya duplex suite for the newlyweds. Guests are welcomed with arrival drinks, and the package caters evening food from 50 to 130 attendees. This package is designed to offer everything needed for a memorable evening celebration.
Can Twilight Weddings accommodate extra guests?
Yes, Twilight Weddings can indeed accommodate extra guests. Specifically, additional guests are welcome to join the celebration from 7pm onwards, allowing for greater flexibility and inclusivity in your guest list arrangements.

Is there a recommended
dress code for a
Twilight Wedding?
There is no fixed dress code for twilight weddings, however people usually tend to dress up. What you wear to a wedding will be dictated by the season of the wedding, the wedding venue, whether you’re part of the wedding party and whether the happy couple have requested a particular dress code from their guests.
Twilight wedding attire may be less formal than wedding outfits but as a general rule, men should be wearing suits, shirts and ties and women wearing dresses, or similar.
What dining options
are available for Twilight Weddings?
As twilight weddings usually take place at dusk, our dining options include a welcome drinks reception for you and your guests, evening food, whether you want late night snacks or a buffet dinner, and breakfast the next morning for overnight guests.
Get in touch with our friendly team to talk about menu options and dietary requirements. In addition to our function room we have a separate bar and restaurant offering plenty of space for your guests to eat and drink whilst still enjoying the evenings entertainment.
Can we hold both our Twilight Wedding ceremony and reception at The Lawrence?
Yes! The Lawrence is licensed to hold wedding ceremonies so you can have both your ceremony and reception with us. We have a fantastic function room that seamlessly transforms from beautiful ceremony setting to formal dining space in the blink of an eye, with a separate bar area and restaurant to enjoy a drinks reception in between.
For a unique wedding venue with a difference, The Lawrence specialises in all sorts of celebrations from bespoke, intimate weddings to quirky weddings and full-blown family weddings.
Do you offer on-site accommodation for Twilight Wedding guests?
